Mid-June, I had the privilege of photographing the beautiful Brooks wedding at The Cumberland House. It was an extremely hot Tennessee day, but the setting was perfect for a summer wedding.
When I arrived, I shot some details for the bride, Crystal.
I spent some time upstairs with the girls getting ready, and the guys arrived right before the ceremony. We ended up not taking any portraits before the ceremony, so we got to enjoy the air conditioning for as long as possible!
Crystal gave each of her bridesmaids (2 sisters and a best friend) as well as her mother a gift.
Crystal got choked up a little when she saw Tim's sweet Snapchat about marrying his best friend. So sweet!
Now some getting ready photos.
We took a little break for Crystal and Tim to exchange letters to each other.
Soon it was time for them to say "I do!"
It was a beautiful ceremony! It didn't take everyone long to get out of the sun and head to the pavilion for the reception.
Crystal chose the color orange to represent her battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
We stepped outside to take as many portraits as we could take before we got too hot!
Ring security! SO adorable. These guys took their jobs very seriously.
Then it was time for reception fun and mingling!
During the first dance, Tim opened the curtain to reveal the new car he bought for Crystal as her wedding gift. WOW! Now that's a wedding gift!
She was absolutely surprised and excited! I loved this moment. I had no idea it was coming, so I was just as surprised as she was.
They decided to leave earlier than planned, probably because it had been a long, hot day! We got everyone gathered on the steps of The Cumberland House and they waved their wands to bid the beautiful couple goodbye!
We took just a few more portraits before I headed out.
I am OBSESSED with those crape myrtles.
