I've known Whitney since college about 9 or 10 years ago, and I was so excited when she asked me to photograph her wedding! She and Wesley have been together for quite a while and have made a great life for themselves in Murray, KY. It was so special to be there with them and see this city that they love so much.
I started out the day photographing the girls getting ready at the Yates Event Center.
Birks on her wedding day! This is why Whitney and I get along so well.
I took a few pictures around the reception area.
Those big prints on the wall in the background are portraits of Wesley and Whitney and their family members. Such a neat idea!
Whitney hopped in the car with me to head to the church while the girls finished getting ready. We met Wesley there for the first look.
We took several portraits of them in the area.
We had to get one at City Hall because Wesley is a councilman! That's his name on the plaque.
We had time to get some pictures of the groomsmen before the ceremony, then I just took some shots of the guests arriving and waited for the ceremony to begin.
It's time to get married!
It was such a sweet and personalized ceremony. The pastor did a great job of including stories from their relationship, and they had a couple of great readings.
After some hugs and tears, we took all the family portraits as well as pictures of the bridesmaids before heading back to Yates Center.
LOVED the bouquets so much.
The reception was really chill. They mingled with guests, had some delicious food, cut cake, danced a little and just enjoyed their guests. It was perfect!
Congratulations to the Bolins! Thank you so much for trusting me to document this day for you.
