Last weekend I mentioned that I was going to a bridalshowerbacheloretteparty (it was a hybrid I suppose) for Stephanie. Well I survived without too much damage from the lingerie shower part of the night, and I actually ended up enjoying the painting part more than I thought I would!
They set up little stations for everyone in the big room. There's an easel, canvas, brushes, and paint set out, and one painting that everyone will paint. The instructor stands at the front and basically just walks you through all the steps for whatever painting was chosen for the party. It was fun because I didn't have to think too much! I just kind of did what the girl up front did, and trusted that it would turn out well. While it didn't turn out anything like the example painting, I actually like it!
My egg was a little crooked, but I think crooked eggs probably exist, so we're going with that. Rhett couldn't even tell what it was, but I DON'T CARE, I LIKE IT. Also, wow I'm so great at straight lines...check out those table edges. I don't know if you guys have ever done anything like this, but if you get the opportunity, you should. I'm glad I didn't pull a typical Kristi and decide before it even started that I would hate it. I decided to give it a chance, and I ended up enjoying it.
Stephanie and me after she'd already put her pjs on. I just feel like I should clarify that she didn't wear a t-shirt to her bacheloretteshowerpartything. Her wedding is in TWO WEEKS! I can't believe how fast time flies.
