First of Many

A few weeks ago, Rhett's family got together for his sweet little niece's first birthday party. They had a gathering at a local community center complete with lots of little ones, plenty of food, and a gorgeous cake! As you can guess, I often fall into the roll of event photographer at family functions :) Here are some pictures I took at the party.

A bakery here in town made this cake (Shirley's). I thought it turned out so cute! The smaller cake was perfect for her to just dig in to. One of her favorite shows somehow involves Mickey...or Minnie...I don't know, one of those Disney mice. Whenever it comes on, especially the hot dog song,  she dances, so that's why the Mickey theme. "Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggety dog..."

I couldn't resist putting the last picture in. She makes these hilarious faces when she is upset about something. It's REALLY hard not to laugh. I think at this point she was ready for a nap!
