I know I graduated over a month ago, but I really wanted to post these pictures I found. The day flew by so fast that I barely remember it! So, here are pictures from what is probably the most important day of my life so far.
Enjoy! And wish me luck...you know...in the real world.
This is an absolutely perfect depiction of my day. Props to Ebbie Davis for getting this shot.
WOO! It feels so good not to have school anymore. Of course, I'm sure I'll decide later to go to graduate school, but for now I can breath a sigh of relief that I never have to go countless sleepless nights working on a project again!
Congratulations to all 530 spring graduates! (Photos by Beth Spain, Ebbie Davis, and Morris Abernathy)

Another Splendid Weekend
4th of July was a blast. I so enjoy time spent with family outdoors. The mosquitoes made a feast of my arm, but what's summer without the joy of big, red, itchy bumps to worry about?
Copper just hung out inside. There was too much commotion for him. Isn't he the cutest?! I adore this dog.
Zoey burned so many sparklers that I lost count. She almost caught the grass on fire once...then she burnt her arm, but she kept coming back for more. Also, check out her adorable jeans in the pink one. LOVE them!
Fireworks make me swell with pride! I just love America!!!
Definitely not the most flattering picture. I don't know why I was poking my chest out like that...whatever. Anyway, I thought denim was pretty darn American, so I donned a Walmart (yes...Miley Cyrus brand...I am not ashamed) denim shirt with my black Express 6-button shorts. I added a side braid, some red earrings from Etsy, and my Urban Outfitters sneaks and I was ready to go!
I'm sure you can tell from the pictures, we had a great time! I hope everyone else had a nice holiday weekend as well.

Happy Independence Day!
Ok I would never wear this, but it's the 4th of July so I'm admiring it. It's from the Chanel Spring 2008 collection.
Hope you're all having a pleasant holiday! I'm off to eat unhealthy food and shoot fireworks in my denim shirt and flip flops. I'm not sure I could be more Southern tonight.

Shop Update
First of all, I was very excited to be featured on the front page of Etsy.com today. It's always a joy when that happens! Thanks for getting me there, friends <3 Love you all!
I recently had the urge to make some more cards, so I hopped to it. I made a set of four cards, and I'm pretty excited about them. Let me know what you think! You can see them in the shop here

100 posts later...
This is my 100th post! Are you as excited as I am?! I don't consider myself a "good" blogger, only an ok blogger. I guess my blog started out as a way for me to record things that I wouldn't be likely to remember later, but it's turned into a way for me to share interesting things with whoever stumbles over here. It's so hard for me to remember to write in my journal on a day to day basis, but for some reason I can blog every day, no problem.
Thanks to everyone who reads/has read my posts and I look forward to communicating even more splendid things!
My very first blog was this: http://kristimcmurry.blogspot.com/2009/01/things-i-selfishly-want.html
Things I selfishly want. Let's see how I've done in a year and a half!
For now, here are some photos from a recent shoot for Alongcomesmary on Etsy!

Things I selfishly want. Let's see how I've done in a year and a half!
- Canon 5D Mark II - check! Just bought it a month ago FINALLY
- Bed canopy- nope. Don't really want one anymore
- Chandelier- sort of. I decided that I liked the one in my kitchen, so I got a cool paper lantern for my office instead.
- Chairs for the kitchen table- check! two vintage chairs, and I love them!
- Ostrich feathers- check! They adorn the island in my kitchen
- Jonathan Adler piece- check! Got a tea set for Christmas :)
- Paint for the guest bathroom- nope. :( Still need to do that.
- Rug for the living room- nope. Gave that up. I like the hardwood now.
- Suzani for the coffee table- nope. I'd still like one. They are gorgeous
- Chrome switch plates- I have 1...does that count?
- Label maker- heck yeah! I use the crap out of that thing.
- iPod Touch- yep! I traded with my boyfriend for it.
- 6 or 7 books to read- ummm yeah...and then some
- Macbook- yes! Bought it last Christmas. And now I have one at work too.
For now, here are some photos from a recent shoot for Alongcomesmary on Etsy!
