Cara & Brennan's wedding last weekend was such a fun celebration! These two have such a joyful presence together, and it was a pleasure photographing them on their wedding day. I arrived and got some photos of details around Peaceful Oaks as well as photos of the girls getting ready.
They had candles for their favors, and they smelled so good!
Next up was the first look!
Oh my, this was a precious first look. My plan was to get his face over her shoulder as she walked through that door, but alas, that was a bad idea. Of course it didn't line up, but thankfully, I had my assistant Sarah take some shots from the side with my second camera, and those are my favorites! Thanks for saving me, Sarah ;)
They took a few minutes alone to just talk and be together, then we took portraits of them together and of the bridal party and family. We got all but a few shots done before the ceremony!
Loved the hydrangeas they used in the bouquet and on the tables. Such a perfect choice for a summer wedding. Soon everyone had arrived and it was time for the ceremony.
His reaction...adorable.
They sang a couple of congregational hymns, which I loved. It gave me a chance to slip behind the bridal party for a couple of shots. I also just love hymns, and they did two of my favorites.
This was a beautiful ceremony! Lee Tankersley's message was spot on. Next we did a few more portraits then it was time for the fun reception full of dancing, a sandwich bar, some amazing cheesecake, and some super sweet toasts.
Love doing this with reception shots. I only did a few at this reception, but I like how this one turned out of Cara's sister and their grandfather. He was a great dancer!
And they're off! Congrats to the Kolbes. It was seriously so much fun being a part of this wedding day.
