I finally have a new photograph for my Etsy shop! I got the idea just last week and actually put it together last night. It's been so long since I did anything new that this just feels incredibly refreshing and motivating. I might even have another new one for you in a few weeks! Here I give you "A Hare in My Salad" Get it? Hare...hair...haha.
Since Etsy has these new fancy "about" pages, I took the opportunity to get a picture of me with the setup. I am looking ROUGH, but I don't think most people will care, and I really shouldn't either. You can see more pictures and my "story" on my about page (which I think is really cool...thanks, Etsy!)
I hope you all like the new photograph! I picked a pastel background so that this could work for Easter, and I picked salad because I'm assuming hares eat lettuce...and carrots. I'm really happy with how it turned out! It's even better than the picture I had in my head, which is always a nice surprise.

Tiny Confessions on Etsy
Let me introduce you to Tiny Confessions. I found this shop late last year and just laughed and laughed as I looked through the prints! The one above was my favorite, and my super sweet friend Gabrielle got it for me for Christmas. It hangs on my bedroom wall, and I smile every time I see it. It's perfect for my unstable cat, Dudley. He is the craziest cat I've ever seen! He is one of those cats that will just purr and purr while you pet him, then a split second later he's got your arm in a death grip and is ripping you to shreds. Luckily he's calmed down a bit in his old age....my arms are happy with that.
Here are some others that made me laugh. I highly recommend the seller, guys. You really can't go wrong with pet illustrations + funny text + pretty colors.
Ok, I know that last one isn't a pet...there are actually several non-pet ones that are worth checking out. And of course there are lots of funny dog illustrations too! Anyway, just thought I'd brighten up your Tuesday with a little fun art. Hope you enjoyed them! Here's the link again to Tiny Confessions.

Thank Goodness for Thumbs
Ok...I don't personally find my smashed thumb offensive or gross (it's just a run of the mill black nail), BUT if you think you will, then you should go ahead and skip this post.
We all good? Ok.
So guess what I did Sunday? I decided it would be fun to smash my thumb in the car door! Yeah! No, but really...holy crap did that hurt. Admittedly, I'm a bit of a baby when it comes to pain, but I think this would be painful for just about anybody. So this whole ordeal has really made me thankful for my thumbs. Almost everything I do involves my thumb in some way, so of course life is a little more difficult without it. I decided you guys might like a completely useless list of things that are difficult with a smashed thumb. You're welcome!
What else would be hard with a smashed thumb? If you can think of anything else I could add, let me know and I'll add it and give you credit!
In case you are very concerned about my well-being, fret not. Nurse Paul put a couple of holes in the nail and it is slowing but surely starting to feel better. I'm on the road to recovery!

- tying your shoes
- pulling your hair into a ponytail
- picking up my fat cat
- opening a soda bottle
