Cincinnati Day 3

Well it's the 3rd and final full day in Cincinnati! Ok, so this all actually happened in early October...I'm just slow about getting it posted. Anyway, mom and I had a GREAT day!

We started off going to the Cincinnati Art Museum. I really wanted to go to see the exhibit of bridal gowns from the past two centuries...and it.was.spectacular. I was particularly amazed by the Zac Posen gown they had on exhibit.  Maybe it was just that it stood out so much from the rest, but I was just really in love with this gown. It was stunning! There was also a gorgeous Lanvin, Dior, and a couple of Vera Wang gowns. Basically it was awesome. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to take pictures...but I was able to take some in the rest of the museum, which was a work of art in itself.

You can see the exhibition in the background of this one...that's the Lanvin on display.

They had a room with German prints...this was my favorite!

This is looking back to downtown, where we stayed. We could see this while we were walking back from the museum...to the car.

This is looking across the river to Kentucky.  We ventured to a place called Mt. Adams, and while we were walking around we could see the river. The area was so adorable! It was a little more lifeless than I expected, but still fun to look at. I think it would be a great place if there were more shops and cafe places.

This is where we had a GREAT meal. It was quaint and pretty quiet, and totally fit the area around it. I enjoyed sitting the corner by the window and just watching people walk by!

This is what the houses looked like in Mt. Adams...it was like being in some dreamy movie.  The place was just so dang adorable. We went to a couple of other areas, but I ultimately got annoyed that I couldn't find a nice little coffee shop to just sit and have a drink. We ended up back in Cincinnati at a Starbucks...oh well. There was probably a perfect little place right on the river, I just couldn't find it because I don't have an iPhone to tell me where everything is.

And that's our little adventure! I had a decent time in Cincinnati, but it's definitely not my favorite city or anything (sorry if you're from there). The best part about the trip was going to Ikea before heading home. I bought WAY too much, but I needed it all....honest!
