Ashley & Ryan's Paris Tn Farm Engagement Session

After work on a warm October Friday, I made the drive out to Paris, Tennessee (or at least somewhere close to Paris...my local geography knowledge is lacking). I met Ryan and Ashley out at the farm where her mother lives. It's a gorgeous farm with tons of places for photos and some sweet, hyper dogs running around. Of course I love dogs, so I could have played with them all night! Ashley's mom was wonderful and took us around the property in her truck. These two were so much fun to talk to throughout the shoot, and I am really looking forward to their wedding next summer. It was fun taking photos of the two of them, but I'm even more excited to get some of them with their precious little girl!

Here are some of my favorites from the engagement session

Sara & Jared's Sunny Pinson Mounds Engagement

Sara & Jared came to me about doing their engagement pictures, so we met up at Pinson Mounds last weekend. It was a perfect afternoon, and we had a great time chasing the light all around the park! They are so adorable together, and I'm sure their destination wedding in South Carolina is going to be fantastic. Here are some of my favs from their session.

Not many of the trees had started changing colors yet, but we got a little orange in this one.

They brought some orange soda for the shoot. They collect soda bottles, so this was something fun to make the shoot their own. Love it!

Aren't they so photogenic?! Sara's soft curls are gorgeous, and I loved the dress she wore in the second set of photos. Jared's plaid was pretty awesome too!

Congrats, you two, and thanks for choosing me to make these portraits for you! Wishing you the best in your upcoming wedding.

Garner Blue Fall 2015 - Indigo Dyed

Earlier this month, I once again had the privilege of shooting some images for Lisa Garner, mastermind behind Garner Blue. It was a smaller shoot than the last one, but we had just as much fun! Y'all go follow her on Instagram (@lougarner) and keep an eye out for when her pieces will be for sale in shops! I'm personally looking forward to the Yule Tide Pop-up where I'm planning to buy one of those gorgeous kimonos. Anyway, here are some of my favs from the shoot.

Donny & Aleesha - Downtown Jackson Engagement

It's been a while since I've done photos downtown, so I was really excited that Aleesha was interested in shooting down there. It was fun to walk around and find neat spots that morning, and I love the results! These two are so sweet and genuine, and are clearly in love. They have their own little adorable language, the way they interact. It was a lot of fun photographing them, and I'm looking forward to shooting their intimate wedding this December! Here are some favorites of mine from their session. I really loved how Aleesha's dress was blowing in the wind in several of them.

Aleesha is from New Orleans, so this mural seemed appropriate as a backdrop.

The last shot of the day was my fav!

Abby & John Austin - Cotton Field Engagement Session

It's not often I get to shoot in a cotton field, and it's even less often that I get to shoot the cotton field with the farmer in it! Actually, never. I'd never done that...

Until last week when I met Abby and John Austin at the Fincher family farmland. :) John Austin's family has farmed for generations, and he is proudly carrying on the tradition. I thought it was a great idea when Abby mentioned photos in the cotton, because cotton fields are so pretty this time of year and because the land is a special part of their lives.

I loved getting to know these two while we were shooting. I was trying hard to carry on a conversation while climbing over rows of cotton. I don't know how they were perfectly composed, because I was sweating and panting like I'd just run a few miles. Anyway, here are some of my favorite images from their session the other night. I'm so excited to shoot their wedding next summer!

Above: My favorite

After we shot quite a bit in the field, we headed over to John Austin's home and stopped along the way to get photos with some farm equipment.

Wasn't sure this was going to work, but I think it's adorable!

I don't think I took a single bad picture of these two. They are just THAT cute! Hope you guys had as much fun as I did :)
