Chelsey and David - K&M Barn Fall Wedding in West Tennessee

Back in late October, Chelsey and David had a lovely wedding on a crisp fall day. It was supposed to storm like crazy that day, but somehow we made it through the day with only a little sprinkling. It was a miracle! I was nervous all morning that we wouldn't be able to do any photos outside on the gorgeous grounds of K&M Barn at Lewis Farm. Thankfully that didn't end up being the case.

When I first arrived, I got some detail shots of the setup. The fall colors were beautiful in the barn!

Those little homemade candy roses were amazing. I'm not going to lie, I ate a bunch of them...but don't worry, they had plenty!

I got some pictures of Chelsey and David as they got ready for the day.

So glad she was able to get Blair DeBerry-Whitt to do her hair and makeup!

We were finally ready for a first look!

These two are just the sweetest. We had a pretty good chunk of time to take pictures, so off we went!

The leaves on the trees had just barely started to turn. It's really not until the last few days of October and early November that they peak. Then it's only for a couple of days! That fall window is so short.

We did all of the family photos and bridal photos in a very short amount of time, then it was time to get ready for the ceremony.

Chelsey's niece entertaining herself while waiting for her big moment as a flower girl!

They're married! They walked out and then were introduced back in pretty quickly for the first dance. Originally, the ceremony was going to be on the patio, but because of the storm threat, everything was set up indoors, so no one even had to get up between ceremony and reception.

There were so many good angles for the first dance! You can tell in that one above that it started raining. Chelsey's expression is like "really?! now?!" haha I thought it was cute! Dancing in the rain is super romantic.

Next was toasts from Chelsey's sister and David's brother.

Such sweet toasts! After this, everyone came by to hug and congratulate the Ferrells, then it was time for the food from Backyard BBQ and cake cutting. It was a pretty simple reception, which is normal for a Sunday wedding.

We had such a great time that day! The weather surprised us all, and these two had just a perfect wedding day. So glad I was there to document it!

Catie and Hunter - Elegant Navy and Gold Country Club Wedding in Jackson, Tennessee

Ok so I maaaay have fallen a little behind on blogging, but I am on a mission to share my last few weddings of 2017, and this is a great one! Catie & Hunter got married on a beautiful October day at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with a reception at the Country Club. Me and my second shooter for the day, Tracye Pulliam, arrived in the early afternoon while the girls were getting ready.

I had already seen Catie all glammed up at her bridal session, but she still took my breath away! She's such a beauty, and so down-to-earth.

While at the Country Club we also got some shots of the reception area all decked out, then it was time to head to the church.

The glass coasters were a cool favor!

The girls rode over in the limo, and everyone started getting dressed.

Catie wanted to have a first look with her dad, so we did that next. She is so close with both of her parents, it was so sweet to see them all together!

Catie and Hunter also had gifts to exchange, so we did those separately in the sanctuary since they weren't seeing each other before the ceremony.

Hunter had Catie boo-hooing! His letter must have been super sweet, and one of his gifts was a canvas print of a photo of her late grandfather and her from when she was little. Such a thoughtful gift!

We got some bridal party and family photos done, then it was time to begin!

I went into super-bossy photographer mode after this. The sun had set, and we had like 1 minute of usable light after the ceremony. I just wanted at least a few good shots of them outside, so I hustled them out the door and got what I could before guests started coming outside. I was pleased with what I could capture in about 30 seconds! We did the rest of their portraits in the sanctuary. Thankfully Catie was much more concerned with getting great candids throughout the day, rather than a huge selection of bride and groom portraits. I can dig that! I love portraits, but capturing the moments throughout the day is what I have the most fun with.

Next was the super fun part! Eating, dancing and lots of joy!

The head table was absolutely gorgeous.

Hunter taught us all how to dougie.

Catie got her dancing dress on!

It was such a fun night! I'm so thankful they chose me to document this day. They were all such a pleasure to work with from the moment we met. People like Catie, Hunter and Catie's mom, Susan, honestly make shooting weddings worth all the hard work. I love getting to meet such special people!
