Gearing up for the busy times!

Fresh pencils, clean notebooks, colorful folders, and...crappy used textbooks: Must be time for fall semester!

Tomorrow is move-in day for Freshmen and I'll be up bright and early to photograph them in their childish giddiness, a high that won't last past the first week of school. It's going to be a busy weekend with all the new student activities that I and my photo staff have to cover, but I know it will be fun! After all that mess settles down, I'll be able to decorate my private studio. I have 1 semester to use the studio ALL BY MYSELF!!! I'll post pictures when it's all pretty.

In other news: Both etsy shops that I manage now have free shipping! Calculating shipping really stinks, so now it's free!

Really nice photographer/jewelry maker that I had the pleasure of speaking with. Her photographs are in the shop linked above. They have a nice other-worldly style. I can't really accurately describe them...you just need to look.

I just want to take a second to celebrate a sale this morning: WOO HOO!!!

Also, just watched "I Love You, Man" and it was pretty funny. It was a good non-stupid comedy. Like, I genuinely laughed, not just awkward laughter. Check it out if you haven't seen it yet.

In other news, I'm watching Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe and it's getting weirder and weirder. I don't know how these people act like that. They are CRAZY! So much anger in this movie...I feel like punching someone.

Paintings done at Shepherd's Haven

At the Haven they do ALOT of painting of drawing and stuff when they aren't glazing ceramics. I grabbed several of the little paintings the last time I was there and am slowly getting frames for them so I can list them on Etsy. I have two up so far. One is by Liz and one is by Jenny. They are so fun and colorful! I can only imagine how fun they would be to paint...
