Chelsea & Darren's Fall Wedding at the Crown Winery

Last Saturday was one of the most beautiful weddings days I've had the privilege to shoot! Chelsea and Darren got married on a perfectly crisp fall day at the Crown Winery. Everything was so on point, it was ridiculous. The flowers from J. Kent Freeman were amazing as were the wine-colored bridesmaid dresses, the pink sequined table covers and Chelsea's intricate dress. Every detail was just beautiful! Here are some of my favorite shots from the day.

I started out with some hair and makeup shots with Chelsea.

Once she was in her gown, it was time for the first look in front of the winery.

We went straight into portraits of the two of them. This was around 3pm, so the sun was harsh and a pain to work with. We made use of the shade as much as we could, but we just dealt with some sun to get shots in the vineyard. Sunny shots in a vineyard are better than no shots in a vineyard, am I right?!

We also got some pictures with the bridal party and did all of the family photos before the ceremony. It was so nice to have all of that done early, especially with the ceremony happening right at sunset.

Chelsea added her late grandfather's Mason ring to her bouquet. A very sweet way to remember him!

I got lots of detail shots around the winery as well. Lisa Kendrick, a family friend and one of my 2015 brides, helped with the decorating. She has an amazing eye for this stuff, and everything looked so gorgeous!

Isn't that the most beautiful setting for a wedding?

As soon as the music started playing, everyone just dissolved into tears. I couldn't help but tear up when I turned around and saw Darren tearing up. So darn sweet! The sun was shining right down the center of the aisle, so the lighting was super rough just for the processional. Luckily I could shoot against the sun for the rest of the ceremony!

I know Kasi read an E.E. Cummings poem, but I can't remember which one. I'm pretty sure it was I Carry Your Heart With Me, but I could be wrong. Either way...tears. All the tears.

"You're the Pam Beesly to my Jim Halpert." Seriously, Darren? STAHP. We're all already crying here.

So after that super sweet wedding at sunset, everyone was ready to celebrate!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. George!

Backstage Productions was the dj, so Tim got the smoke rolling good for the first dance.

The guys were a smidge tipsy I think. I was cracking up at their cake-cutting skills! Darren is a paramedic, so the cake was in the shape of the star of life. It was some kind of chocolate, peanut butter deliciousness that made my mouth turn blue. Worth it!

And they're off! They danced the night away and were clearly having the best day of their lives. It was such a joy to be a part of it.
