Bethany and Will - Fall Wedding in Tennessee, Blessing Barn

Bethany & Will's wedding took place mid-November at the secluded Blessing Barn. It was a surprisingly warm day, just a little cloudy. Back when we did Bethany's Bridal portraits at the venue, it was raining, so I was just excited to be able to take pictures around the outside for the actual wedding day!

I arrived and got some photos of the ladies getting ready. Bethany had one bridesmaid, but some other family members were getting ready there as well. It was all very laid back, just like Bethany! She is definitely one of my most chill brides ever.

I also took some time to get some detail photos around the venue.

Soon it was time for Bethany to get in her dress! Will arrived ready to go, so once she was dressed, we did a first look with her dad, then with Will and went straight into taking family photos and portraits. Everything moved pretty quickly with this group once we got going.

As you can tell, the wind was pretty brutal! Bethany's hair held up really well, thankfully.

Someone mentioned getting a picture on the swing, so we headed over there. Unfortunately the swing had other plans! Will was a good sport. He and Bethany (and everyone watching...) had a good laugh.

Pretty sure Will fell asleep while they waited for the reception to be set up. I don't blame him, weddings are exhausting!

And off they went!! Bethany is kind of like me, she didn't want any of the traditional reception events like cake cutting or first dance, so everyone just mingled, ate and enjoyed some games outside. It was a really nice, laid-back evening! The sparkler exit was the perfect cap to the night.

Special thanks to my friend and fellow photographer Cari Griffith for second shooting the ceremony with me! I am so grateful for her willingness to be my second. Weddings are always more fun with her there!

Lauren & David - Gorgeous Fall Wedding in Tennessee, Cogan's Farm

At the end of October, I got to photograph the gorgeous Kiehna wedding at Cogan's Farm. Unfortunately Covid had postponed this wedding, BUT it ended up being such a perfect day, so that was a bit of a silver lining. The weather was outstanding all day, and I couldn't believe all the amazing details involved.

When I arrived, I took a few detail photos as well as photos of everyone getting ready.

Lauren's "something blue" was this ring, which I believe she said is her grandmother's ring.

I was so excited to be working with Jerrett Segars from Lynn Productions on this wedding. We collaborated a lot on the best compositions and light in the different rooms of the house. Having good videographers to work with makes my day so much easier!

After everyone was ready, we did a first look with Lauren and her dad, then Lauren and David.

After the first look, we did LOTS and LOTS of portraits. Cogan's Farm is full of beautiful spots to shoot.

David has this beautiful Porsche that they incorporated into the wedding. They used the pattern from the seat covers (pictured a little further down) as inspiration for the colors and details for the wedding.

Lauren's grandmothers putting her veil in. These two ladies did a LOT of the work for the wedding. They did a fabulous job!

Lauren's bridesmaid/cousin made this blanket for them using the wedding colors, so we made sure to use it in some photos!

Soon it was time for the ceremony! I got some detail shots of the setup and a few other things.

The SWEETEST flower girl! This is one of Lauren's best friend's daughters. Both of them are absolutely precious.

After the ceremony, we took a few more photos by the water.

Now it was time for the party! First, here are some detail shots.

Time to party!

The wedding was on Halloween, so the groomsmen and their guests brought out some masks for the reception for fun.

And that was the end of their perfect wedding day!
