Tim & Gabriela's Savannah Woods Plantation Wedding

I shot my first wedding at the cozy Savannah Woods Plantation in Collierville earlier this month. It was a small wedding with some lovely fall colors and one of the most adorable brides EVER. I hadn't met Gabriela before the wedding, which is very rare for me, but I instantly liked her when she arrived at the venue. She was definitely excited and nervous with anticipation, and it was so cute. She loved having her picture made, so she posed for me a lot, but I also managed to get a lot of shots of her laughing and enjoying her perfect day. She has the best laugh!

Anyway, I arrived a little before Gabriela and Tim, and I walked around a little bit for some detail shots.

As soon as they got there, Gabriela got in her dress and we went ahead and got portraits done. Their wedding was at 5, so it would be dark. I was glad they decided to do portraits before!

This is one of those cute moments I got in between poses.

Seriously, how gorgeous is she?!

The fall colors looked so great mixed with the greenery

Sweet little Max was SUCH a good boy all day. He's such a cutie.

The ceremony started a few minutes late, and it was seriously pitch dark out there. I was thankful that I have a camera that can capture photos decently in the dark, even with a little grain. It was a very romantic setting!

There was a lot of celebration and dancing during the reception, and everyone had a great time! My assistant Lindsey and I even danced a little. It's hard not to join in when everyone is having so much fun.

I am so glad Gabriela found me to photograph her wedding, and I'm thrilled that we got along so well. She's one of those people you just can't help but like.

Congrats, you two! I wish you all the best.

Mallory's Classy Vintage Style Bridal Shoot

A few weeks back, I met up with Mallory, her mother and a couple of friends for Mallory's bridal shoot at First Presbyterian. Since Mallory's wedding photographer was coming from California, she needed someone local to do some bridal portraits for her before the wedding. I work with her mother, Vickie, so I was more than happy to do these! Mallory is absolutely stunning, and the dress she chose is just gorgeous. Add to that the classic veil and unique bouquet, and we have ourselves a pretty amazing bride. Ok that's a lot of adjectives, but I can't help it! I felt like I was shooting a model for the cover of a magazine. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.

How beautiful is she?! The wedding was a little over a week ago, so congrats to Mallory and Lyle! I wish you both the best, and I'm so glad I was able to play a little part in the wedding day.
