Shelby and Zack Engagement at Liberty Gardens

Last weekend I got to meet up with Shelby and Zack for their engagement session. We ended up with perfect weather! We walked around Liberty Gardens, which is one of my favorite parks in town. It's small, but it's got some great spots for pictures. Here are some of my favorites from their shoot.

We got their beautiful Husky in some shots.

Can't wait for their fall wedding!

Rebecca & Stephen - Twin Oaks Wedding

I have probably mentioned this on here before, but I just LOVE Twin Oaks in Humboldt. Terrie and Keith are some of the nicest people I've met, and I always enjoy working with them. On the first of May, I got to shoot Rebecca and Stephen's wedding at this wonderful venue! The day was looking very promising, even after a few bad weather scares.

Unfortunately, right before the ceremony was to start, a small storm did move through, and the ceremony was moved inside. Fortunately, Keisha Norwood was the wedding planner and she switched everything up very quickly. She and Terrie worked together to make a lovely spot in the reception area for the ceremony to be performed. It turned out just fine, and we were still able to go back outside later for pictures!

When I first arrived, I shot a few details and some photos of the girls getting ready. Rebecca had her hair and makeup done first, so she was already finished.

When it was time for Rebecca to get in her dress, we headed downstairs so there would be plenty of room. The dress is lovely, and Rebecca looked wonderful in it. I also loved the veil she chose and her beautiful red curls cascading under it.

We got some bridal shots of Rebecca and some pictures with her bridesmaids. Everyone was so quiet and considerate of time that we got done really quickly. This was a theme all day! Everyone in the wedding party, family and the guests were all so kind.

After pictures were done, we started to realize the rain was going to come through soon. It was still about an hour before the ceremony, but it wasn't a fast-moving storm. They decided not to risk it, and the reception area was shifted to have an aisle. It cleared up about 15 minutes before the ceremony, but at that point it was so wet out, it would have been so messy to have it outside. The indoor setup ended up being pretty anyway!

I LOVE Rebecca's mom. They are both so great.

Rebecca is a relatively quiet woman, and I love that Stephen can make her laugh so much. She just lights up when he's around!

We took just a few more pictures before their exit.

Congrats you two!
