Branchbound Bridal Lace Jewelry Photo Shoot

Sarah Louise (affectionately to her friends as Slu) runs one of my favorite Etsy shops, Branchbound, and just happens to be a pretty super person. I was so excited when she asked me to shoot some of her pieces for her bridal look book! I love that Slu's pieces combine the delicacy of lace with the bold colors and size of "statement" jewelry.

I found my model, Kelsey, through my Facebook page and set up the shoot for a Saturday morning. It ended up being pretty chilly, but Kelsey powered through like a champ! She's getting married later this year, so this was good portrait practice for her, and she did great. We used my wedding gown and a vintage gown for the shoot, so don't worry, her fiancé isn't getting a peek at her dress too early! I was hoping for at least a little cloud cover since it wasn't a golden hour shoot, but it was FULLLLL sun. I feel like I made the best of what we had, though...unless I'm just delusional. So without further rambling, here are some of my favs! Please head over to Branchbound to check out her fabulous line (and tell your friends!).

Steven & Bri's Beautiful Black & Gold Wedding in Jackson, Tennessee

I met Steven, Bri and Sarah (bridesmaid) at Panera several months back for a consultation. I could tell immediately that I would like Bri! She has such a sweet personality and her smile is completely contagious. I enjoyed getting to hear about her wedding plans, and it was great to see everything come together. She had a very elegant affair in mind with lots of black and gold. They had the brilliant idea to use the sanctuary of the church for both the ceremony and reception, so they set up tables and just had everyone sit at them for the ceremony. It worked out perfectly! The tables with food were in the foyer, so everything was roomy and spread out.

I'm so happy for this lovely couple and the life they're beginning together. Here are some of my favorite shots from their wedding day.

Embarrassing photographer moment: I walked into the room where the guys were to give Steven his ring back. I looked right at him and said, "Where did Steven go?" He had taken his glasses off, and I didn't even recognize him! *facepalm* I felt like a goober.

Bri waiting with her dad and matrons of honor for the ceremony to start. She was so nervous and excited!

Still nervous and excited! Deep breaths. She was shaking so much, I could see her bouquet shaking!

I was really hoping all this foliage would be green by wedding day, but it was still not even close. My assistant Kelsey said it looked like some English moors, ha!

I loved this sweet moment between Bri and her mom as they were leaving the reception. These two have a wonderful family!

Congrats again, Bri & Steven. I wish you all the best!

Caroline and Gene's Rustic Spring Engagement at Green Frog Village

Caroline and Gene met me out at Green Frog Village in Alamo for their engagement session, and we had THE BEST weather! It finally seems to be warmed up for good, so it was great to have sunshine and good temps for this session. Caroline wanted outdoor photos and really likes the rustic, natural look. Green Frog was perfect, and they were so great in front of the camera. I loved getting to know these two, and now I'm even more excited to capture their wedding day in a few short weeks!

Here are some of my favorites from the session
