Garner Blue Spring 2015 - Indigo Dyed Handmade

My creative and talented friend Lisa deserves all the credit for this lovely spring shoot for Garner Blue, her line of indigo-dyed products. She gathered 4 of our gorgeous friends and styled each of them perfectly to model her pieces. She also picked out these cool locations around town, one of which featured an impromptu strip show from a random woman in the parking lot. It was such a fantastic afternoon with perfect warm weather and lots of laughter with friends. We even enjoyed some delicious pizza from Rock N Dough after the shoot (you NEED to go there if you're a Jacksonian).

If you like what you see, check out Jackson Pop-Up Shops, which Lisa organizes and sells her work in. The next one is coming up April 24-25! See you there?

I had a hard time narrowing these down, so I'll shut up and just let you get to lookin'

And some cutie pie behind-the-scenes action:

Beth, who couldn't find her brush, teasing her hair with a car ice brush/scraper. As Courtney called it: "The Big Tease"

And Julia being Julia. It's hard not to have a good time with these girls! I'm so thankful to be a part of Garner Blue, even in this small capacity. I can't wait to see what else Lisa comes up with!

Branchbound Bridal Lace Jewelry Photo Shoot

Sarah Louise (affectionately to her friends as Slu) runs one of my favorite Etsy shops, Branchbound, and just happens to be a pretty super person. I was so excited when she asked me to shoot some of her pieces for her bridal look book! I love that Slu's pieces combine the delicacy of lace with the bold colors and size of "statement" jewelry.

I found my model, Kelsey, through my Facebook page and set up the shoot for a Saturday morning. It ended up being pretty chilly, but Kelsey powered through like a champ! She's getting married later this year, so this was good portrait practice for her, and she did great. We used my wedding gown and a vintage gown for the shoot, so don't worry, her fiancé isn't getting a peek at her dress too early! I was hoping for at least a little cloud cover since it wasn't a golden hour shoot, but it was FULLLLL sun. I feel like I made the best of what we had, though...unless I'm just delusional. So without further rambling, here are some of my favs! Please head over to Branchbound to check out her fabulous line (and tell your friends!).

Spring Pop-Up Shop, Handmade Goods

My friends Lisa and Keely put together this really great little pop-up shop a few weeks back, and they've got another one coming up this weekend! This time it's called Summer Swell, which is just adorable, and I'm planning to have a few of my prints for sale. I just love this curated collection of awesome handmade wares. At this past one I picked up some art, greeting cards, a magazine and a leather keychain. I'm pumped about my friend Meredith selling her pottery this time around! It's going to be a great time, so if you're around Jackson town Saturday, you should definitely stop by.

The cord organizer that Keely makes is fantastic! I might have to get one after seeing Lee using his. Maybe if I have that I won't forget to pack my photo charger when I travel...

Garner Blue Indigo Scarves - Spring Style

A few weekends ago, I hooked up with Lisa Garner to take some more photos of her gorgeous indigo scarves. I just wanted to be creative and take some photos, and it just so happened that she was obliged to provide me with models and wardrobe :) We chose a couple of locations on Royal, and just shot for about an hour. It was perfect! I am so happy with the results, and I'm hoping the images will bring her more traffic in her Etsy shop.
